Classroom Agreements: Be safe, be responsible, be respectful, be kind.
Breaking the agreements: talking to understand versus talking to punish, having a consequence that is directly related to the action, positive reinforcement, students and teacher work collaboratively to make a list of consequences.
Checking in when students are absent, appreciating and recognizing that students made it to school.
Disruptive behavior: warning time, referring back to agreements, redirection, chill zone
Bullying/Oppressive language: addressing the situation, talking to both sides, mediating, finding a solution for both sides, referring to school policies.
